Windham Middle School

Students are concerned with the mounds of paper towels that are used each day at their school and the fact that these paper towels cannot be recycled. To address this, students polled their classmates by asking them if they would prefer paper towels or hand dryers.

The students used their results to purchase two energy-efficient hand dryers. They will pilot them at the middle school and work to inform school officials to expand their use. The hand dryers will both help the environment and save the district money.
